Hopster partners with Mediacom Communications CORP. in USA

NCTC MEMBER: MEDIACOM FIRST TO ACTIVATE PARTNERSHIP

London, 02 April 2020 Hopster, the award-winning preschool educational and entertainment digital platform that develops young children’s learning through kids TV shows, music, games and books, has announced a partnership with the 5th largest cable operator in the USA – Mediacom Communications Corporation.

The service is available now and provides Mediacom subscribers, primarily located in the Midwest and Southeast, with access to Hopster’s video content by using Mediacom OnDemand (ch. 1) and subscribing to the channel’s extensive content for $4.95 per month.

Hopster features family-favourite classics, independent, inclusive and diverse shows from around the world. All of the content has been selected by experts and leading academics in childhood education and cognitive development so that it is aligned with the Early Years National Curriculum.

Preschoolers will be able to enjoy fun and educational shows like vocabulary-learning Lingokids and numeracy-focused Numberblocks. Family favourite shows such as Bob the Builder and In the Night Garden and its original animated TV series from Hopster Studios which includes fast-paced Grimm’s Fairy Tales series Two Minute Tales and empathy-focused show Saturday Club. Promoting inclusivity and championing independent content preschoolers will also be able to enjoy shows such as Punky, a show that is centered around a girl with down syndrome and sign-language show Signed Stories.

Currently Mediacom is offering its customers a one month free preview to Hopster (which ends April 19) and in the next few weeks the cable operator will also be supporting its latest COVID-19 response content #GoodbyeGerms that include two songs about washing your hands and three thirty-second short stories in similar format to its Hopster Studios hit show Two Minute Tales: The Very Sneezy Princess, The Magic Hands and The Jumping Gremlins.

Last year Hopster partnered with The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) which represents more than 750 broadband and cable operators serving in all 50 states. Mediacom Communications is the first member to sign up and activate its partnership offering.
